Looking to stay in Dalby for the Western Downs Language to Literacy Conference? Here are some options for your travel and accommodation to help you plan your visit.


Accommodation

 

Drovers Motor Inn

Drovers Motor Inn is a 4-star modern luxury country motel offering stylish accommodation nestled in the heart of Dalby. All rooms are Wifi-enabled. The motel is a short walk from local shops, restaurants and recreational facilities, and only a 3-minute walk to the conference location.

Please note: Drovers Motor Inn are fully booked for Saturday 19 May, however they do still have a number of rooms available for Friday 18 May.

  • $135 per night for double or queen rooms (11 available)
  • $145 per night for king rooms (7 available)
  • Continental breakfast served in the restaurant daily; this can be added to your booking for an additional $15 per person.

For Saturday night accommodation, delegates may like to try booking through Gallery Motor Inn or Dalby Fairway Motor Inn which are the two closest accommodation options. For those who like to get closer to nature, the Dalby Tourist Park has cabins or camping options and a leafy position fronting Myall Creek Parklands.

  • $200 per night for 3-bedroom House with kitchen

Dalby Fairway Motor Inn

  • $135 per night for Queen room (3 available)

  • $110 per night for Studio (1 available)
  • $160 per night for 2-bedroom Cabin (9 available)

 

Getting to Dalby

The nearest airport to Dalby is Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport. This airport is serviced by Qantas, Regional Express and AirNorth. Alternatively, Brisbane Airport is both an international and domestic gateway to Queensland with transport options to Dalby.

There are a number of trains and buses which travel to Dalby regularly, including Murray’s Coaches, Greyhound Australia, Bus Queensland and Queensland Rail.


Local Transport

With the huge variety of things to see, do and explore in the Western Downs, you’ll need to find a way to get to them all.

It’s quite easy to navigate Dalby’s CBD on foot, but if you would prefer to drive, you can rent a car or, if you would like someone to do the driving for you, there are a number of taxi services on offer.
